Thanks for visiting our website today. You have been directed to this page, because a person you know applied to become an au pair in South America with us and would like you to provide a reference in support of his/her application.
Au pairs are young adults, who travel to a foreign country for up to one year to live with a host family and take care of their children. In exchange the au pair receives free board and accommodation as well as an allowance from the host parents.
Taking care of someone elses children is a major responsibility. As an agency, we have to rely on the feedback of others to better understand if an applicant is a suitable candidate to work as an au pair and whether he/she can handle the challenges that come with an extended stay abroad.
Anyone who knows the applicant well can provide a reference. However, ideal are references given by people outside of the applicant's immediate family or circle of friends, like e.g. a teacher or classmate, employer or co-worker, sports coach, priest, etc.
We appreciate you taking the time today to provide a reference. Filling out our online form takes about 15-20 minutes. Please be sure to answer all questions to the best of your knowledge and do not hesitate to contact us if you have any queries yourself - we are here to help.
Your SpanishPlanet Team
We all have areas in life where we shine and others where we can still improve ourselves. As an agency specialised in cultural exchange programs for young adults, we appreciate that some applicants need more support than others and are happy to help where we can.
In order to provide the best possible support and guidance right from the start, it is important for us and the host family to know in which areas the applicant is already quite strong and where he/she might need our assistance.
